Simon Lumb: I started building dry stone walls when I was just 5 years old, walking along in my father's fields and seeing a hole; I started filling it with stones and it is still standing today!

Simon Lumb

Walling is a passion for Simon, who was brought up on his father's farm in Halifax and started plugging gaps in field walls at the age of just five years old. A self-taught craftsman, and now a qualified professional member of the DSWA, he has won walling competitions at country shows and he even makes miniature model walls (when time permits!)
